Contents: Enhancing data quantity and quality for the introduction of transport and delivery services
Description: The project’s goal is drafting strategies for bicycle-bound acquisition of environmental data that are relevant to the successful operation of an autonomous micro mobile on pavements. For that purpose, different acquisition methods are evaluated regarding their efficiency and the aggregated information’s quality. The data’s applicability is examined withing two specific Smart-City-scenarios (rental bikes and delivery robots). Thus, Ready 4 Robots contributes to the development of intelligent concepts for transport and logistics that take into account the characteristics of different regions.
Goals:
- Enhancing data quality and quantity for the operation of autonomous transport and delivery services
- Improving the data infrastructure for autonomous vehicles and logistic systems
- Testing and optimising technologies in real scenarios
- Supporting the development of safely, efficiently, and sustainably operating autonomous transport systems
