Mobility Concept at Otto-von-Guericke-University

The university’s campus needs to become fit for the future – accessible, sustainable and focused on the students’ and staff members’ needs. In cooperation with different working groups a concept for specific measures has been developed:

• Car Park: A new car park with high-quality facade design is built near the edge of the campus. Thus, motorized traffic is concentrated outside of the campus centre.
• Shuttle Buses: Two autonomous shuttles will connect the main campus to the Port of Science.
• Bicycle Racks: Lockable bicycle racks are implemented on the campus.
• Wayfinding System: The signposting is redeveloped and digitally extended.
• Micromobility: E-Scootes and designated parking spaces  are integrated into the campus.
• Ride-sharing Platform: A digital platform to reduce commuting traffic.
• Benefits: Possible introduction of a job ticket or bikes.
