Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt GmbH
The NASA GmbH is a subsidiary of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Commissioned by the state, NASA GmbH plans, orders, and finances public passenger transport. It also operates the digital information platform INSA together with the MDV (Mitteldeutscher Verkehrsbund) and other transportation companies.
It is our goal to shape transport in Saxony-Anhalt through intelligent traffic systems and modern information- and communication technologies to become safer, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly. Together with universities and other research facilities we work on digitalisation and automatised and autonomous driving, planning as far as 2030.
NASA GmbH supports the Ministry of Infrastructure and Digitalisation with the execution of the IVS-plan and takes part in different projects, such as:
- Expansion and improvement of the information platform INSA
- Further developing the computer-based guidance system in Saxony-Anhalt
- Ensuring connections for all passengers using public transport
- Developing a software for the organisation of on-demand buses
- Promoting e-mobility
- Implementing automatised public transport
